Warm Green Beans & Fig

This recipe is only made up of 5 ingredients, is extremely quick to cook and yet is absolutely delicious and will look fantastic and appetising on your dining table.


  • Fresh Green Beans

  • Minced Garlic (out of a jar is fine!)

  • Shaved Almonds

  • Fresh Figs

  • Australian Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Cobram Estate is a great brand)


  1. Rinse the green beans and trim off any stringy edges.

  2. Pan fry the green beans with a little minced garlic and a drizzle of Australian extra virgin olive oil.

  3. Remove the green beans from the pan and transfer into a serving dish. Place the shaved almonds in the pan and continually shake them over low heat until toasted golden brown as in the picture above. (You may need to add a little extra olive oil to the pan if you are using a non-stick one).

  4. Top the green beans with the freshly toasted shaved almonds.

  5. Quarter each fresh fig and place on top - enjoy!
